WTF?
Today I found a little note I made to myself. It's on the back of a picture clipped from the cardboard packaging of my neoprene facemask.

It reads as follows.

9027
1-off
STAY

WTF was that all about? Apparently it meant something to me at some point.

Maybe you were having a dog day of February 7, 1990?

1, you wanted to keep off the couch and you probably wanted yourself to STAY?

That's the best that I could come up with. On with the Tentacoo!

I find those ALL THE TIME.

Almost as irritating as when I find phone numbers written down with no attached name. And then comes the question "do I call this person, and risk neither of us knowing who the hell we're talking to?"

That I do all too often. Then I wonder if I call and say "were we supposed to be having sex sometime soon or did you just want me to play accordion for you"?

It's from a webcomic called Boy Genius. Site seems to be down though, which is annoying. Haven't read it in ages, but it's well worth keeping an eye for, it's damn funny stuff.

It's just that if you try to play the accordian while having sex, it kinda gets in the way. And sometimes it makes more noise than the participants.

When I was in junior high, the words to that were generally considered to be, "Lady of Spain, I adore you;/ Pull down your pants and let me explore you..."

(Why do accordianists ALWAYS play "Lady of Spain", anyway?)

I do stuff like that all the time. I save pictures all the time, often with some nefarious scheme in mind (photoshopping or sending to/saving for someone else) then completely forget, so when I come to find them again, I find myself in complete bewilderment as to why I saved a futa Family Circus pic. I live in the UK for fuck's sake, we don't even have the damn thing over here!

I've got one weirder. A few weeks ago I found a piece of paper with a random list of words and numbers. The numbers are all 8 to 20 digits long. Three columns, about thirty items in each column. Based on my handwriting, it would have to be from the 1998-2000 time frame. Otherwise, it's a completely baffling piece of paper. What's more is where I found it... at the bottom of a stack of relatively recent printouts on my computer desk that had been cleaned off a couple of weeks before I found the mystery paper.

Eight to twenty digits long sounds like passwords.

Or... do you do that thing when you're playing a game and there's some kind of guess-the-whatever puzzle in it, where you write down your guesses? Or where you write down passwords and things that you've already gotten from the game?

That's what I got stuck on initially... Is there a picture somewhere? It's that gimp mask isn't it? Cheap version?

That number seems almost like a logic puzzle (you know, like "6 feet under" or "eggs over easy)

So maybe it's...

Stay Under 9028/1-off (9027?)... So stay under 1.000x

Stay Under One? One Over Stay?

Eh?

Hmmm...my guess is that it has something to do with that number. It looks like the model number of something, but you're saying that one digit is off by one. Not sure about the stay part.

Then again "1-off" could just mean that you're supposed to create some quickie comic having to do with something regarding "9027" and "STAY". Not sure if "9027" is a postal code, building number, or something.

On a hunch, I looked at a nearby telephone keypad. The word 'STAY' converts to 7, 8, 2, and 9. Rearranged, they can be 9827. One of these digits, the 8, is 'off' from the stated number of 9027.

Yeah, a huge stretch to be sure.
