I'm a renegade! Or... reneGAYed...

Man, I got bounced from the club again for violation of dress code. This one bouncer really seems to take exception to my fabulousness. I was told my t-shirt had sleeves too short in length to be fitting attire for a man and thus was to remove myself from the club until such time as I had rectified the problem. I told him I had worn this very t-shirt to the club on many occasions but I was informed that tonight was a "special night" and my shirt just wasn't manly enough.

So a quick trip down the street to the Walmart and I returned with this.

Yeah bitches! Check out those mutha fugga sleeves! They're so long and manly they need holes for the thumbs to go through. Those freakin' things almost go up to my knuckles! I defy you to deny the manliness of the length of my sleeves now Mr. Bouncer Man. These sleeves makes me so manly that if I were to spit on the ground testicles would grow where it lands.

And what's cool with this pic is the shadow cast by the track lighting makes it kind of look like I'm wearing a domino mask. Yeah! I'm CAPTAIN LONGSLEEVES bitch! With super masculine long sleeve action.

So I gave a little tug on my sleeve and nod to the bouncer as I re-entered the club. Since he was wearing a short sleeved shirt he had no choice but to submit to my superior manliness.

So you want to know what wasn't a violation of dress code?

I'm wearing my favorite 501s. I got them second hand and they were unbelievably soft, almost like well worn flannel. The softness caused a failure of one of the legs which tore just under my butt cheek. No problem, I fixed it with some eyelets and funky shoe laces and it actually looked pretty cool. So I'm dancing tonight and I hear a little rip. I reach back and feel that the other leg has a hole in it now too. No problem I'll fix it when I get home tonight and all will be well. So I'm dancing away and its suddenly getting a little breezy. I get home tonight and discover my jeans have suffered a catastrophic failure of the structural integrity.

While they looked just like an ordinary pair of jeans in the front the entire rear has become some sort of bizarre miniskirt thing as the crotch has been completely severed and the rear leg is only held on one side by my previous lacing. My ass and purple bikini briefs are hanging out on full view.

Apparently nobody had a problem with this as I wasn't told wearing a half-jean half-miniskirt combination wasn't a violation of the rules of manliness required to gain entry into the club.

I think this shall be it for my beloved 501s. I have another pair but this one was my favorite for its softness, which I suppose was its own undoing. Perhaps I can turn them into a ragged denim miniskirt or something but it's going to take a lot of work to make them a pair of pants again. I will miss you soft 501s and all the ass grabbings you got me.

Little plastic cars.

Back when I was a kid, every summer I would go up to Pembroke to my Uncle's cottage on Cotnam Island. My grandmother used to buy these big bags full of plastic cars. The cars were maybe an inch or less in length, made out of a thin, single piece of single colour plastic with no moving parts. In the bag would be an assortment of cars from the 20s to the 60s and my siblings and cousin would divide the cars amongst us starting with cars there were multiple copies of until we got to the cars there were only one or two of each taking turns picking a car. After all the cars had been distributed we'd trade one another for cars we really wanted. Then we'd make cities in the sand and play with the cars for the rest of the summer. Many a plastic car no doubt lies buried deep in the sand of that island's beach. The same company also sold bags of airplanes which we often got as well. The cars and planes each had their names embossed on them. I remember the '59 corvette and The Spirit of St. Louis being two of the highly sought after and rare vehicles in their packs.

Does anyone else remember such a toy from their childhood? Are they still manufactured today?

The plastic was similar to the plastic Green Army Men are made out of, rigid but somewhat flexible. The cars and planes were in multiple colours. I've been trying to find the cars online but have had no luck.

Kicked out of the straight bar.

Dammit! I got kicked out of the straight bar tonight for violating dress code. I was wearing a tank top and a vest when a bouncer came and said I'd have to leave because all men must have sleeves on their shirts. WTF! Girls get to wear tube tops for crying out loud and guys can't have bare arms? God dammit! We need a second amendment right to bare arms here in Canada. Oh well, rather than raise a fuss I went down the street to the walmart and bought this cool transformers tshirt.

The shirt must have been a hit as I was told many times I was very very pretty. Must have gotten glomped a half dozen times tonight. John got many glompings too. It must have been getting some contact awesome from my cool new tshirt.

Nobody kicks a transformer out of the night club!

Good thing I stopped keeping count.

John and I went out to the straight bar with a friend tonight and tore it up on the dance floor. Lots of very pretty girls were coming up to dance with us and even get their pictures taken with us. There's a certain irony to the fact that when you're gay the girls are all over you.

Went out onto the patio to cool down and these two guys were talking to us when one of them stopped and asked me, "wait... are you a boy or a girl?" I laughed and said "I'm a boy" and he gave me this pleading look and said "but... but... but why do you look so much like a girl?" I laughed and said "I don't know, but don't feel bad, I get that a lot". I told him I was gay and John was my boyfriend and his friend said, "well, I'm normally homophobic but you two are alright". I just laughed and took it as the compliment he meant it to be. He friend continued to scrutinize me with the "are you sure you're not a girl" look. Too funny.

Stepping out!

Took a girlfriend out to Club 54 in Burlington tonight. Here's some pics

Me getting ready to go.

John lookin' all dapper.

One quick smootch before we go.

John and I gaying it up at the straight bar.

Got a few WTF!? looks from some of the guys, and a lot of "I can has a live akshun YAOI plz" looks from some of the ladies, a few of whom came up and danced with us. It was a really fun night for all. It's cute when I'm out with John and I catch the odd "you two are so going to be in my masturbation tonight" look from the occasional female. I remember this time in Niagara Falls when John and I were walking up Clifton Hill in our biker leathers and John had is arm around my shoulder and I had mine around his waist and this one girl gave us this raw look that said "delicious gay boys in leather"! It's interesting because I've seen lots of guys react with obvious arousal at the sight of a pair of lipstick lesbians being affectionate it's cute to see girls do the same too, although they tend to be a little more subtle about it.

God damn you Edirol

So after spending two years in storage my Edirol PCR-80 midi controller was acting all fucked up with keys being very intermittent or not working at all. Sounds like dirty contacts, so the natural remedy would be a squirt of contact cleaner. Well that made things worse. A quick check of the internet revealed early Edirol keyboards had pads where a conductive powder was fixed with an adhesive. The problem was the adhesive would evaporate and the powder would fall off the pads and the keys would fail. The easy if time consuming fix is to remove all the keys, pull the contact pads off they keyboard and coat the contacts on the pad and keyboard with graphite poweder... or in other words colour them in with a soft pencil.

An hour and a half later and my keyboard works good as new. Woohoo!

My studio let me show it to you.

I've got some music stuffs whats needs a doin' so I set up my gear in a spare room at John's place. It's weird seeing all my gear set up like this after having been so used to it being the chaotic concoction it was in the old Geek Room. It looked so hackery before and now it looks all professional. A lot of it needed some tender loving care to get it back into working form again. I have to go grab some contact cleaner today for one stubborn key on the big Edirol. Got a new monitor for the PC too. Need to find a new keyboard for my Atari Mega 2 ST. If anyone out there knows of an unloved, unused Mega ST keyboard out there please let me know.

My Behringer powered monitors are in the barn studio right now being used for another project so I've set up some temporary monitors with an old subwoofer and some speakers John had kicking around. All things considered they sound pretty good.

Also, note the little Peep plushie atop the speaker watching all the extra studioy fun. It was a present from a fan .

Me playing my birthday present.
So I went to the Fracture Clinic at St. Joes today where my ankle that was not broken, then broken was declared not broken again. But my ligaments have had the living shit ripped out of them.

I'd be concerned but I figure at this point that doctors pretty much just make shit up.

You know when you bite the inside of you cheek, and then you bite it again because it's swollen, and then you just can't fucking stop biting it? Yeah well I've done that with my ankle.

I had a really fucking nasty fall and my ankle went snap crackle pop. This time it was so bad I had to go to the hospital for an x-ray as I was certain I'd busted the fucker. For a guy who has absolutely shitty cartilage my bone density is through the freaking roof. Nothing broken but everything else is so torn up I won't be walking anytime soon. Looks like me and the chesterfield are going to be getting to know each other really intimately over the next couple weeks.

Good ol' frozen peas.
